I’m running for re-election.

Dear Friends,

Legislating is work that I love. I’m honored to do it alongside a growing cohort of innovative women and young parents bringing new leadership to the statehouse. And I’m grateful for the network of people who’ve supported me along the way, both in and outside of the legislature.

I’m running for re-election in 2022 because our work for rural Vermonters is far from complete.

Roughly two thirds of Vermonters live in a rural area, yet policymakers still overlook their needs and interests. I ran for Vermont House to bring the voices and values of rural Vermonters to the statehouse. I ran to help create a Vermont that works for everyone

When I campaigned in 2020, I committed to rebuilding our rural economies, supporting families and schools, investing in broadband, promoting social justice and addressing the climate crisis. Since then I’ve delivered on those commitments by listening to constituents and collaborating with colleagues to create policies that:

  • Remove barriers for forest-based businesses

  • Change the school funding formula so that rural schools get what they need to succeed

  • Exempt Abenaki tribes from property tax

  • Ensure all Vermonters can afford the transition to cleaner heat sources

  • Make transformational investments in housing, broadband, childcare, pensions, workforce development, and the Vermont State Colleges System

Rural Vermonters deserve equitable access to education, homeownership, entrepreneurship and economic security. Rural Vermonters deserve a representative who understands their experience and gets stuff done. And they deserve to know how policies impact their day-to-lives. That’s why I’m more committed than ever–my work has just begun.

I need your support to secure our district’s only seat in the House.

The towns of Albany, Craftsbury, Glover and Greensboro are now “ORL-4”, a single-member district. That means residents of those four towns will vote for one representative this year instead of two.

We need your help to run a successful campaign. There are lots of ways to get involved:

  • Endorse Katherine. We'd love to feature your support on our website and campaign literature.

  • Volunteer. Perhaps you’d like to host an event or write a letter to the editor, or reach out to neighbors and friends about our campaign? Whatever your skills and interest, we can use your help!

  • Make a donation. Early contributions are critical–we’ll need yard signs, flyers, print and online ads, mailings and events. With your help we can spend our time this summer focused on what matters most: connecting with constituents.

Together, we will make a real difference for our towns, the Northeast Kingdom, and rural Vermont.

Thank you for your support!
