General Election Voting Information
Voting is easy and you can do it early!
GENERAL ELECTION
Mail-in ballots for the November 8, 2022, general election will be automatically mailed to all active registered voters, not later than October 1, 2022. You can return your General Election ballot by mail, to your town clerk before election day, or at your polling place on election day. You can also choose to vote in person on November 8, 2022 at your local polling place. Find your polling location here. The most important thing is to vote!
REQUEST A MAIL-IN BALLOT
If you didn’t get mailed a ballot, you can request a mail-in ballot two ways:
Go online to mvp.vermont.gov and sign into your ‘My Voter Page’ account to request a ballot be mailed to you.
Go to your local town clerk and request your early ballot in-person. To find your local town clerk, you can go to: tinyurl.com/vtclerks
REGISTER TO VOTE
If you still need to register to vote, all eligible persons may register to vote on any day up to and including the day of the election. Registration is available during all normal business hours of your town clerk's office on days preceding the election and during polling hours on Election Day. You may also register to vote online via ‘My Voter Page’ at mvp.vermont.gov.
If you are registering to vote in Vermont for the first time, please note that you must include a photocopy of an acceptable form of ID. Acceptable forms of ID are:
Valid photo ID (driver’s license or passport)
Current utility bill
Current bank statement
Another government document
